Fun visit to Omaha

We were in Omaha this Labor day weekend visitng friends and it appears we did a lot of swimming! We visited the Henry Doorly Zoo, met up with our good friends from Utah and there kids, swam with our friend Luke at his house and even got to go swimming with the Anderson kids at the big pool! What a wet weekend.

Happenings

We attended the Olmstead County fair a couple weeks ago. Here is a pic of Ellie holding a bunny for the first time, riding a ride all by herself and mom crying because she CAN ride all by herself!

We knew it would happen sooner or later and it happened. Ellie cut her own hair! Just chopped off a piece by her ear! So here she is getting a pretty cut by the professional!











































Our family also invested in a Wii Fit game- here is Ellie doing the Tree pose in yoga. She is pretty good.

For Daddy's birthday Ellie made him a green cake- green is her favorite color currently.




Ellie started at a new daycare/preschool this last week. Here is a picture of her first day.

Updates!

I know it has been a while since I have updated, but here is a brief summary of our summer so far here in MN.

Ellie's Dedication at Church- Mothers day weekend.

Ellie with her first pair of swim goggles and a floatie swimsuit. She says that she has a baby in her belly! We took a family trip to Wisconsin Dells and spent 4 days swimming and playing around. We played at the indoor playground, Ty taught Ellie how to play golf (we are hoping to have the next Tiger Woods!)

A quick visit to Colorado with Amy and Ellie. Here she is putting fish in Papa Stu's pond and Baba is trying to catch a bug to put in her jar. Ellie is not a big fan of bugs, but we tried!

Amy finally got her Mini-van! Her dream car.

Ellie is learning to play tennis! I think we have a long way to go! Mom decided to learn to ride a bike again. So we go on rides every now and again.

We spent a day in St. Paul at the Dragon Boat festival and at the zoo. I think Ellie enjoyed the snow cone and cotton candy the best.

Added some pictures of Ellie, being Ellie! The one with Chopstix is her actually getting food to her mouth with the chopstix. It is a good thing her dad knows how to use them! The nice pink dress is for the dance recital we have on Mothers day weekend. We call it her Mini- mouse dress. It is quite a site to see her dancing around in a dress that is 2x her size.

She also finally fits in her matching FUNFABULOUSBABY onsie from her aunt Laura. It matches the FUNFABULOUSMOMMY shirt that I have. The sun is actually out today in MN and we are hoping to take the poor dog for a walk. Maybe we are actually going to get some summer soon.

Our first Blog entry!

Hi everyone! I thought I would attempt to become more tech savvy and start a family Blog. I hope that this will be fun for everyone and keep all updated on happenings in MN. We celebrated Easter this weekend and although it was too cold to go outside, we did our best to have an Easter Egg hunt inside.
